Girls’ Day @ Würth IT

Girls’ Day @ Würth IT

Girls' Day at Würth IT on April 25, 2024 was a complete success, with young schoolgirls experiencing a day full of technology and innovation at the Waldzimmern and Berlin sites. A total of 18 schoolgirls enthusiastically took part in the exciting activities, which were accompanied by dedicated Würth IT employees and young talents.

Exciting program for schoolgirls at the Waldzimmern and Berlin sites

In Waldzimmern, Sabrina Christof and Anna-Lena Kreuder, supported by Würth IT Young Talents on site, welcomed eleven schoolgirls to a varied program. After an introductory bingo, they started with programming tasks based around the popular characters Elsa and Anna from the Disney film "The Ice Queen". By using the digital tool Filius, the aim was to convey a deeper understanding of networks in a fun way. The pupils were also given an active insight into microelectronics through an entertaining task with Arduino. Arduino is an open-source hardware and software platform that makes it easy to create and program interactive electronics projects. The event concluded with an interactive IT and career guidance quiz.

At the same time, seven schoolgirls were welcomed by Christian Langguth, Yu Cai and Jerome Michel at the Würth IT site in Berlin, who organized the day together with Young Talents. Programming tasks with Elsa and Anna were also on the agenda here. The scavenger hunt in collaboration with Würth Elektronik and the focus on data science was particularly exciting. During the scavenger hunt, the students had the chance to explore the basics of the algorithm and the logic of ChatGPT. Lunch breaks were held together at both locations to exchange ideas and make new contacts.

"Girls' Day at Würth IT is a great opportunity to get young women and girls excited about technology and innovation," said Sabrina Christof, one of the organizers of the event. "We are delighted that we were able to give the schoolgirls an insight into the wide range of opportunities in the IT industry and hope that they go home inspired," said Anna-Lena Kreuder, another organizer of Girls'Day 2024 at Würth IT.

Würth IT is proud to support young people and inspire them for the future of technology. Girls' Day is just one of many initiatives that the company supports to discover and promote talent.
